3.5 day training academy designed to train designated representatives of Public Safety Agencies as Water Rescue and Swiftwater Rescue Instructors in order to conduct Water Rescue and Swiftwater Rescue Awareness, Operations, and Technician level courses on behalf of their own departments. The Water Rescue Technician Course is a comprehensive and fast-paced 8-hour training program designed to provide First Responders (Firefighters, EMS, Rescue, and Law Enforcement personnel) with the skills and knowledge required to safely and effectively respond to incidents in, on, and around the water. The Swiftwater Rescue Technician Course is a comprehensive 16 + hour training course consisting of the Water Rescue Technician course curriculum, plus an additional 2-hours of classroom, and an additional 6-hours of practical evolutions conducted in a swiftwater environment. Tuition includes lodging and meals, books, materials, instruction, course completion certificate, and insignia.
