Mutual Aid to Israel

Back in 2006 & 2008, groups of volunteer firefighters from Rockland County, NY and other areas of the USA have traveled to Israel to help their brother firefighters in times of a National Emergency. None of these trips were organized by the Israel Fire & Rescue Services, however they were very appreciative.
As result of those trips, the commisioner of Israel National Fire & Rescue Services realized that they do not have enough experianced firefighters in Israel during times of National Emergency and therfore created an organization thru which they will recruit active firefighters from other countries who are willing to volunteer their time to help Israel - at no cost to the volunteer! The organization will raise all funds needed. In addition, they will fly those willing to volunteer, to Israel for training in their protocols, procedures/SOP's, and equipment, so that when an emeregnecy arises and they require the volunteers, they will have a ready-roster of those whom they know are prepared and are familiar with the way things work in their country.

The international director of the organization will be in the United States next week and is willing to meet with groups of currently active firefighters who want to learn more about joining.
